Tamara is a child/family therapist, and visual artist. She was born in New York City, but also lived in Barcelona, Spain for 5 years and Philadelphia for 3 years. She currently lives in Providence.

Atabey is originally from Puerto Rico. She graduated with a biology degree from Brown University. While working as a scientist and teacher, she began painting and illustrating on the side until ultimately quitting her day job to dedicate herself to art full time. She has a studio in Pawtucket where she sells large prints and original work.
