Doña Fefa y Su Bodega: A Newcomer's Story

magnolia as fefa

Rhode Island Latino Arts has commissioned an original monologue written and directed by
Marcel Mascaró and starring Magnolia Pérez as Doña Fefa.

The monologue is delivered in a bilingual format. The story is based on the oral history of Josefina “Doña Fefa” Rosario, as told to Marta V. Martínez, Community Oral Historian.

Debut performance will be at the former site of Fefa's Market, now the location of Parkview Café, 1232 Broad St, Providence, RI 02905 | Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6-7:30PM.

Entrance is FREE and open to the public. Purchase your own dinner or refreshments. After the performance, we hope you can stay for a discussion with Magnolia as Doña Fefa.

Community Organizations: If you would like to host this performance, visit this link or contact us at: info@rilatinoarts.org. A $250 artists stipend is requested of hosting organizations in Rhode Island. Our fee varies if we are invited to travel outside of Rhode Island. Please inquire about a school or library rate.
