A partnership between RILA and Trinity Rep

Don Quixote: An Original Bilingual Adaptation

This year, we will be celebrating our fifth consecutive summer of Teatro en El Verano, and our partnership with Trinity Rep. We are so proud to be offering free bilingual theater to the people of Rhode Island. We couldn't do it without our committed artists, audiences and without the support of all Rhode Island Cities and Towns who have invited us to perform in local parks.

It is our strong desire to continue this tradition this summer. However, due to COVID-19, we are currently reimagining how this might play out (no pun intended!). In doing so, we are very aware that our plan must take into consideration the safety of our actors and of our audiences.

We have decided to embark on an exciting adventure with our selected play and its protagonist, Don Quixote, and to learn how to tackle online monster windmills. And we do so because we feel that it is especially in these uncertain and dark times that a knight-errant is needed. We promise you will not be disappointed!

Be sure to revisit this webpage or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to hear about our updated plan. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to send an E-Mail.

Be safe! Be well!
