We invite artists of all levels and backgrounds to create a visual interpretation based on this prompt and image. All mediums welcome. Abstract or literal, bold or soft — let your colors speak.
A few things to think about: Emotions. My Cultural Palettes. Internal and/or External Feelings of Living in Two Worlds. Your Spiritual and Ancestral Feels brought to life through color.

Guidelines:
- Size:
- All painted submissions must be on a canvas, no larger than 30 x 40 inches. Photos should be printed on matte paper (not glossy) and must be framed.
- Theme:
- Visual art must visually reflect this prompt What Color Are Your Feelings? We encourage submissions that explore emotional expression, identity, and cultural context through color and symbolism.
- Style & Medium:
- Open to any artistic style—whether traditional or digital illustration, photography, graphic design, mixed media, 3-D art.
- Ensure that your design is bold, eye-catching, and easily readable from a distance.
- Final works do not have to be framed, but they must be able to be hanged on the wall, with a hanging wire. Must use D-Ring Hangers and durable picture hanging, gallery wire.
- Photographs can be printed on poster board and enlarged large enough for full display. We prefer photos be printed on matte paper (NOT glossy).
- Submission Requirements:
- Submit between 3-5 high-resolution digital files (300 DPI) in .JPEG or .PNG format for consideration. Only one will be selected.
- File size should not exceed 10MB.
- Include a brief artist statement (150 words or less) explaining your concept and how it connects to the theme.
- If selected, all works must be delivered ready for hanging or display. Digital Art: if printed on poster boards, it must be wired and ready to hang. 3-D art must be able to be carried safely during installation and de-installation (you will be delivering it, so you must be able to carry it inside the space).
- Copyright & Usage:
- Artists retain the rights to their work. However, by submitting, you grant the organizers the right to use your poster in promotional materials, including but not limited to print, digital, and social media.
- Deadline:
- To be considered, all submissions must be received no later than July 1, 2025. Absolutely NO LATE SUBMISSIONS will be accepted.
- Selection Process:
- Artwork will be reviewed based on creativity, relevance to the theme, visual impact, and originality. Please submit at least two (2) samples for consideration. They can be something from your collection that you plan to submit or sketches that would give the review committee a good idea of your artistic style.
- We ask that you NOT make public on social media any of your submissions before we have a chance to review them. If selected, we reserve the right to make the first announcement of all selected works.
- Selected artists will be notified via email by July 18, 2024. Drop-off dates are July 25 & 26, 2025 between 9am and 12pm.
